    The 2019 Annual Meeting of the State Retirees Association will be held on April 24th at Seawell’s Banquet Facility, 1125 Rosewood Drive, Columbia. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM and is $10 per person which includes lunch and tips.

    Our business meeting will begin at 10:00 AM and will be followed by an update from staff of the Public Employee Benefit Authority. They will cover retirement, health care, and Deferred Compensation and will also be available to answer individual questions and provide information.

    Michael Hitchcock, Executive Director of the Investment Commission, will update us on the recently adopted investment plan and will bring us up to date on investment earnings Hopefully he will have some good news for us.

    Our keynote speaker this year will be the Honorable Mandy Powers Norrell, Lancaster. Ms. Norrell has been a strong supporter of public employees, teachers, and retirees and is considered a rising star in the General Assembly.  We look forward to her remarks.

    Finally, we plan to share with you the latest information that we will have about the issues that affect South Carolina’s retired public employees.
